I am honoured to serve as President of the ISA Edmonton Section this year alongside our exceptional executive Board, volunteers, members and contractors. ISA has been pivotal to my automation career, from my student days to current profession.
At the global level, this fall, we’ll acknowledge the countless volunteer hours of our Board and members by receiving the 2024 Section Excellence Award at the 2024 ISA ASE. Here in YEG, it’s the 10th anniversary of our first-class ISA Fall Classic Invitational golf tournament, sold-out at 216 players.
From both a programming and membership perspective, growth is important to me.
As the automation industry continues to evolve rapidly, embracing new technologies and methodologies, is key. Our monthly Technical Talk content will focus on trends like sustainability and energy efficiency. Plus, coming this spring… Augment Your Reality at the ISA Edmonton Section’s biennial flagship event, Automation Expo & Conference (AEC), Canada’s largest automation event… of note, the Digital Transformation and New Technology SUPER Tracks.
I envision that our Section will continue to be the premier hub for local automation professionals. My personal mission is to strengthen partnerships with all industry stakeholders to boost membership and engagement.
I invite anyone interested in automation — whether you're a career-seeker, seasoned professional, or if you have a passion for the field — to join ISA, it's the place to be!
