The ISA Edmonton Section is excited to announce our first Technical Talk of the 2021-2022 season - Drone Technology & Risk Reduction presented by Nutrien!
From traditional to submerge-able drones, Nutrien is proving itself to be at the forefront when it comes to using unmanned vehicles to reduce risk for workers. The applications are vast; think tower, pond liner and water intake inspections, plus thermal imaging and security patrol.
This presentation will look at several specific applications and the associated risk reductions at both Nutrien’s Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Canada facility and their Trinidad facility.
Cory Wald, one of our speakers, is the pilot of Fort Saskatchewan’s aerial drone, and will also speak to licensing, training and equipment requirements for attendees interested in implementing this technology in their own facilities.
